About the Site

As I mentioned on the About Me page, I've been making personal websites since 2018. Back then I used some shady free web hosting that put ads on my page and free domain name services that probably weren't really free. In my senior year of highschool, I took a web design class and started developing this page. In that class we used github for hosting, and I used that for a couple years until moving it to neocities for a while, and later nekoweb where it is now. All of the HTML and CSS is written by hand, in either VSCode or Vim depending on what computer I'm useing at the moment. As for the design of the site, I've taken inspiration from many sites I've seen throughout the years on tumblr, webrings, or various forums, especially the sites from this nixers thread. I tried to make it simplistic yet fun, and modern yet retro. I won't be using boostrap or any JS frameworks, and mostly just have static pages. I should probably use a static site generator or something but idk anything about those. The wallpaper was generated with automata and edited with GIMP. I'd recommend trying it out, it's pretty fun to see what patterns you can make. Much better computer-generated art than that "AI" crap. Anyways. The kitty at the top is from webneko. If you click it it'll follow your cursor.

It's also worth noting that I barely update this page, honestly I don't know how you even found this, but if you did somehow stumble upon this note that it's probably out of date. I should try to keep it updated but ehh I'm lazy. And also I don't know what to put here often.
